Peel
and segment the grapefruits, removing all the white membrane. (This
does take a bit of time, but the taste and presentation justify the
effort.)
Gently combine with the pomegranate seeds.
Sprinkle the sugar over the fruit.
Pour the hot water over the fruit-sugar-mixture and mix.
Refrigerate and serve chilled.
